I stay here when I'm in Gardnerville for work. It's charming and peaceful. Morning walks in Genoa are always a highlight. Very comfortable and I always get a great sleep!

We are *so* glad we selected the White House Inn for our quick little get-a-way to Genoa - it was a relaxing, rejuvenating breathe-of-fresh-air!
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and pretty much had the property to ourselves for the next 24-hours. Owner, Lacey, was great about staying in touch with me on arrival day, calling to see what time we'd be arriving and providing helpful instructions for where to park and how to access our room (keys were inside a coded keypad at our door).
We stayed in the Carriage House - a newly remodelled, free-standing outbuilding that *actually* used to be where the carriage was stored in the early days of the property. The sliding barn-door still sits on the exterior, however it is walled-off on the inside.
The things we loved most about this unit was the privacy and seclusion - being disconnected from the house structure - and the bathroom which had a rustic design with modern amenities.
In-room features include:
- flat screen TV
- Wifi
- microwave and mini-fridge (fridge came pre-stocked with our breakfast: A bottle of OJ, two large muffins and 2 large water bottles)
- breakfast nook area (with table and two chairs)
- coffeemaker, coffee, tea, creamers and sweeteners
- ceramic plates, bowls, silverware, glasses and coffee mugs
- Two wine glasses with wine opener
- Blow-dryer
- plenty of towels and washrags
- a gas fireplace which we are looking forward to using on a future trip (never used it this time as because it was too warm)
There were so many nice little touches, including the basket of plates and silverware, coffee maker and coffee, menus from surrounding restaurants, and even a deck of playing cards.
Everything about this unit was simply delightful - no complaints here. :-)

My family and friends and I had the most amazing Christmas here in 2017. The house and grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. Every part of this house is comfortable and inviting and the family that run the house did everything to make our experience the best ever. I can not wait to have another memorable vacation at The White House.

My husband and I could not have asked for a more magical weekend! We stayed in the Cottage room and it was a perfect blend of modern conveniences with the charm of a farm house. The owners were so friendly and made sure we felt at home, which we instantly did!
You are walking distance to the cutest town in Nevada, Genoa. We enjoyed delicious local grub, a farmers market and the oldest Saloon in Nevada.
It's impossible not to fall in love with Genoa and the White House Inn, see you next year!

Most amazing spot!!!!!! Everything about this place is just perfect! I would recommend staying here to ANYONE! Perfect distance from South Lake Tahoe and Carson. Will def be back!Dannile A.This place is absolutely amazing. I love the small town vibe. There's. Bar right down the road (walking distance) along with a little market. I can't wait to book here again and stay here. I bet the scenery during the winter will be great! View of the backyard of the cottages are something to look at! Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here the night before our wedding to be close to the venue and it was a great place, I'm so glad we did! We also had our friends stay and we booked the Cottage and Carriage House and they were adorable. Lacey is such a great hostess, super nice, attentive, friendly and communicative. We will definitely be staying here again in the future and would highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Genoa, NV. We were there visiting family and Lacy took great care of us. Very quiet rooms, decorations done well, temperature of rooms was perfect. Definitely will stay here again when we return!
